General rules

All instructions from hotel employees related to house rules must be followed;
In connection with the identification requirement, you must be able to show valid proof of identification for all persons staying in the hotel at the time of check-in;
There are cameras in various places within the hotel. In the event of calamities and/or incidents, the recordings can be shown to the authorities as supporting material. Everyone who is in our hotel agrees to make recordings.
The hotel is not responsible for loss or theft of your belongings.
Found objects must be handed in at the reception.
The management and employees of the hotel cannot be held liable for any injury and/or material or immaterial damage that visitors to the location may experience.
Due to hygiene regulations, the room must be cleaned once every three days. If you do not wish to be disturbed during the day, please consult the reception for an alternative cleaning time

2 How do I call the reception?

Do you have important questions for the reception? Then you can use the telephone that can be found in your hotel room! Call 2400 for reception. Do you want to reach your travel companion in another room? then call 2 + three-digit room number

3 How do I get light and electricity in my room?

You activate electricity in the room by inserting the room key into the appropriate box on the wall. When you leave the room, we ask you to remove the card from the box so that the electricity is switched off. Excess energy consumption is harmful to the environment and Eye Hotel would like to contribute to a cleaner environment and ask our guests to contribute to this.

4 Where can I have breakfast?

Eye Hotel serves a delicious breakfast every morning from 07:00 to 10:30 for €15.50 per person. You can take a seat in our cozy breakfast lounge and you will be served at the table. Book breakfast in advance at the reception. Don't have time for an extensive breakfast? We also serve a Breakfast to Go! Ask our employees about the possibilities. Please book this one day in advance at reception. It is also possible to have breakfast delivered to the room. If you wish to make use of this, please book it at least one day in advance at the reception. We charge a surcharge of € 5.00 p.p. for breakfast delivered to your room.

5 Can I rent a bike?

Discover Utrecht in a sporty way. Eye Hotel has a number of bicycles. The bicycles can be rented for €12.00 per bicycle for 4 hours or €16.00 per bicycle for a whole day. Electric bicycles are available for €30.00 for a whole day.

The use of the bicycles is at your own risk. Any defects to the bicycle can be reported to the reception, so that we can find a solution for this.

6 Where can I park?

As part of Utrecht City Hotels, Eye Hotel has its own limited car park on Jansdam, a 5-minute walk away.

You can park the car here based on availability. The parking costs are € 30.00 per car per night, from 3 pm on the day of arrival until 12 noon on the day of departure.

Eye Hotel is not liable for possible damage to cars caused on/near the car park.

It is also possible to use the public parking spaces in front of the hotel in the Breedstraat and Wijde Begijnestraat. Mind you, this is paid parking.

Please note that it is not possible to park here from Friday from 3 p.m. to Saturday, due to traffic restrictions. the patch market. Parked cars will be towed away.

7 How can I hire a taxi?

You can book a taxi at the reception (extension 2400). Expect an average waiting time of 10 minutes.

8 can i smoke in the hotel?

We would like to point out that smoking is not allowed in the rooms or in the public areas. Smoking is only possible at the entrance of the hotel. This also applies to electronic cigarettes.

9 Garbage?

Eye Hotel can of course only have an eye for the environment!

We like to separate waste. Do you want to contribute to this? You can do this by leaving paper, cardboard and glass in your room separated from the residual waste. Our Housekeeping department ensures that this waste is disposed of separately.

10 How do I get wrinkles out of my clothes?

To remove creases, feel free to call the reception on 2400. They will have an ironing board and iron ready for you.

11 Can I wash my clothes with you?

From Monday to Friday, with the exception of public holidays, we offer a laundry service. A laundry bag and form are available at the reception. You can hand in your laundry at the reception in the appropriate laundry bag. Laundry delivered to reception before 8am will be returned the same day.

12 When will my (bath) linen be changed?

Our Housekeeping department is present every day. If you do not want a cleaning service in the room, we kindly ask you to hang the 'Do not disturb' pendant on your room door with ZZZZZ or to make this known to the reception. Housekeeping will then leave a bag with fresh towels. If you still want your room to be cleaned, you can inform the reception until 12:00. Linen change takes place after every 3 nights during your stay. If you wish to use the same linen for longer, you can indicate this at the reception.

Markets in Utrecht:

One of the largest markets in Utrecht can be found at Vredenburg on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
